Life Lessons You should Learn from Fault in Our Stars

1. Pain is meant to be felt

Life is full of several kinds of emotions. It is a mixture of laughter, pain, disappointment, gratitude, and much more. And all of this is meant to be felt. This millennial generation needs to understand that life just isn’t a bed of roses, it has thorns too and both of them play an equal role in our lives.

We can’t expect ourselves to be happy all the time. It’s okay to fall as long as we have the desire to rise. The more we neglect the pain, the greater it burns us inside, therefore we should all have the courage to strongly face it.

In this story, Hazel too initially tried to keep her emotions to herself but as she meets Augustus, she learns to embrace her pain with equal grace.

2. It’s okay to learn from others

The story teaches us that while it’s good to be confident about our skills, it’s also okay to accept our flaws and learn from others. We should all take life as a journey where there are different and fascinating people standing at every turn.

We should always have the curiosity to learn something good from them. We all have something to give to this world and there is a lot we need to take from it. Rather than constricting our minds with our opinions, we should try to broaden them by listening to people around us.

Upon meeting Augustus, Hazel tried to change her perspective about life, which is what we all must learn from her.

3. You are abundant

In this beautiful story, Hazel and Augustus suffered illnesses, however, the two had a different way to deal with them. They teach us that illnesses are only a part of us and aren’t the only portrayal of us. We are defined by several facets and not just by a single incident or fault.
